Woke up and found one of my favourite threads deleted

    Not only that but my last post (which was entirely factual and a funny political poke) was deleted due to "bad taste" and a message on the thread that seems to imply I will lose posting rights on the thread if reopened.
    What I wrote is only offensive to people with a certain political leaning and was not attacking anyone for their sexualising, religious beliefs or ethnicity.
    What gives? What happened? Did the thread devolve into a sledging match?

    joke thread started being polluted with homophobic posts, then continued with boomers struggling to understand the modern world rants. warning was posted but was ignored, this is why we cant have nice things.

    This is a privately owned forum therefore no one has the right to freedom of expression. The owner has stated quite clearly in the past that he has no desire for this place to become a haven for the alt-right or anything that more closely resembles a 4chan discussion.

    @goldpelcian has made no mention of "alt-left" previously. It's probably a moot point because there are hardly any lefties in the PM space, but if their posts were as tedious, persistent, childish and just plain brainless as many of the posts from the far right crew here then the answer would be "Yes".

    jesus thats a low bar then, like i said, my post was 100% factual and totally undeniable by the left fact checkers. best they can do is say it "lacked context" which is a fancy way of saying they dont like it
    i agree that this site is privately owned but it has thrived because of certain members with a certain political inclination. if we ban everything that is critical of politicians like Biden it would change the tenor and tone of this forum.
    no one is advocating for the site to become an echo right wing echo chamber but its safe to say that it is a place for challenging discussion and debate to expose people to all points of view and perhaps change some minds

    I'm the moderator, I determine what is appropriate or inappropriate content on this site. Denigrating someone by referring to them as "pussy" is a sexist comment and that's why it's closed. You seemed quite content with the private discussion we had via PM, not sure why you want to take this all public.
