$6 If ever happens can i please get at least 5000 oz thanks. The only problem would be hard to get them from dealers. Some stackers might need to sell as they would need the cash for emergency Roughly 5000 oz if silver is $6 aud I only need to spend A $30.000. Bring it on baby
I would look towards some silver items that are more use than just bars or rounds. I think that the premiums would go up on the legal tender coins to make it worthwhile creating the dies etc. I would think about getting some sterling silver flatware or some pre decimal. The sterling silver flatware would actually serve a purpose and even if silver dropped to $3/toz I will still get to use them. Sadly much of the cost is in the manufacturing and not the spot price. The pre dec should have a very low premium so I might actually get it around the spot price. I would probably sell some of my high premium silver numis and buy silver bars with the proceeds.
Only a fool would pay 6% a year to store something that doesn't return a dividend, and has a very poor history of appreciating significantly in value. At that rate you'd be better off sticking to cash.
I think people used to put their PM in their walls, or then bury it in their garden. If you pay 6% a year to store your PM you are better off with alternative investments, such as housing.
If I had that much silver lying around I'd tile the floors with it or build some really uncomfortable furniture...
