Will all the new Perth Mint Bullion offerings )ie: 1/2oz Shark and 1oz Crocodile milk up like the Pacific War US / Australia Alliance 1/2 silver Coins have?

With this in mind i will be NOT tempted as the risk is too great in my opinion.. unless someone can confirm they are not minted in the same way so wont be exposed to the Milk effect.

If they will not Milk i will purchase them but not knowing if they will is enough to put me off.. and given they seem to be similar to the Australia Alliance 1/2 silver Coins i own which milked up in less than 6 months is a mega fashion (eroding any premiums these unpopular coins may have ever had)

I consider currently the crocs as low premi bullion and PM may be intentionally target low premi market atm.

If you ask me whether to choose normal rounds (or some low premi coins) that currently available on aust dealers, i would definitely go for a croc.

Take a look on somalia elephant. Popular coin, higher premi but my 2014 already milky. Not to mention 2014 brit is a s*it quality. Go figure.

Beside this is the first one. It could be one off or it could be a series. Fair bet the way i can see.

Wouldn't you say at $5 premium from the Mint is already a low premium bullion? I would think once the coins start hitting the secondary market it will be more like $3/coin premium?

With that in mind, the condition of the coin should be irrelevant? Or does milkspot = spot price for coins?

I always seem to think that spot+$3 = 1oz coin/bar in whatever condition in a secondary market?

Buy and sell them in 25 coin sealed tubes. It doesn't matter what they're like inside. Buy only one to look at.

completely agree, if we all never crack the seal on the crocs and trade them in 25s we will never have a problem.

That bad? Geesh. That is the only bummer about stacking silver, no matter, bullion, semi or numi...the damn, dreaded white spots. Totally blows. Ill stick to gold, even in small quantities. even though i like silver better...

I hadn't heard about milk spots on the Pacific War US / Australia Alliance 1/2 silver Coins.

I have a tube of them, I will have a check.

I sure hope Perth Mint hasn't caught the Milk Spot Influenza Virus that's been infecting the RCM production facilities for many years now. That would really suck. I'd hate to have to add Perth Mint to the "NEVER Buy Anything From These Guys List" that I've got the RCM on.

yep. that would suck royal, and would mean my days of buying bullion or semi numi are finished, maybe with an exception here and there of a Chinese medal. LOL. But it would be only gold from then on. I hope the PM folks read this blog.
