    When another large Super Fund goes bust and thousands lose their life savings and retirement nest egg , the managers will get 6 months Gaol, lose nothing because they sign all their assets to the Spouse and children. I will not be one of those who loses everything.

    I've found that PM's have far better long-term storage performance than either beer, bananas or cheese.
    Beer just disappears and cheese and bananas tend to go bad, but PM's don't do either of those two things.

    Perhaps you could stack wine and cheese as they will age and add value. You could sell the cheese as rounds or in rolls.

    It's an easy way to not waste money on useless things like an alcohol fuelled weekend. In my (very) early twenties, silver has seen me save more money than I could have with fiat (and I tried, hard).

    Oh, and addiction to building a 1000oz stack fuels the fire every now and then.
