So the AUD price of silver is sitting between $30 and $31. It was always my guestimate that the premium on a 1 oz coin like an ASE was about $5 and on a Perth Mint coin about $7 Problem is, with this latest dip, seems the premiums are anything up to $20 over spot. So the question is, who is buying at reasonable premiums, what price and where?

I just picked up a 10oz Perth Mint bar from the perth Mint, it worked out to be cheaper than any of the usual bullion dealers and I already had the account sorted out for the dragons. The premiums on the minted product were a little too high, about an extra $40 for a 10oz Dragon, which I personally would have gone for but my wife was calling the shots.
I just bought some 10 oz lunars from bullionaire - 10oz Coins (per box = 10 coins minimum) = $3505 Usually a long wait for delivery though. Kooks were reasonable as well.

I bought from www.silvergoldbull.com their premiums are good and are a great option for anyone living in Canada. I'm into bars and one oz. Rounds. At this point to me silver is silver and at lower prices the demand for physical IMO is high enough that you can get a fair price for your silver no matter the form. I plan to sell at some point at a gain and I think I'll be happier with more oz.s than more semi-numistic pieces. That said I will purchase the odd lunar or panda.

Ask him for his daily emailed updated price list -you usually have to make the order by midday which is fair enough. Free postage in Melbourne I believe.
Today I bought a 2oz bar from Monarch because they were running low, just as I bought a 3oz from them a few days ago when they were running low. I bought 3 2011 Pandas for 41 bucks per from Mint products And a Series II display case for my lunars and a 2009 RAM Roo Proof from Ampex for 99 because idiots on ebay wanna pay 120 for the damn things Not a lot compared to some of the whales on SS but I think my wife will still let me sleep in the bed tonight Did I mention I get paid on Wed? LOL
