going to switch into gold coins and looking at either maples, philarmonics, or sovereigns, im quite drawn to the sovereigns for my budget anyone have any views as to wether the sovereign is a safe bet for resale or are the other 2 options better

They're all a safe bet for resale if you price them lower than a dealer ;)

I'd go Sovs if you can get them for the same or less premium. Better chance of numi value too

im trying to work sovs out its a strange subject obviously its about 7.32 grams but theres multiple choice on sovereigns , different dates, different heads on the coin, all different prices , whats it matter isn't the lowest price one the best to go for?

If you're simply after the gold content then yes, lowest price is the best. But if you put some time and effort into learning the numismatic value of the rarer types, you could make a lot of money flipping them or holding on for bigger profits.

You might see something like an 1860 Victoria Type II (Sydney Mint Type II) for sale at a CashConvertors or local bullion dealer... They may not know it's one of the rarer ones and sell it for a significantly lower price ;)

many thanks I never gave it a thought , we have cash converters in our city of Sheffield , are they generally good places to buy rather than on line bullion dealers?
