Ok I am new to this so which PM coins should I start buying/collecting from release? 1oz kooks koalas or Luna 2oz 5oz 10oz Thanks
definitely not koala, you can skip those ugly coins. kooks: long ongoing series, to-date 25 coins have been released. lunar: shorter series only 12-coins for the whole series, to-date 8 coins have been released and the current Lunar series II will end in 2019.
Thanks people I have just started with Kooks and Koalas 1oz and decided on a start date of 2010 so need to back collect, now for lunars but which of the other sizes should I also buy in kooks and Lunars, 2 5 or 10 OZ? Love my american eagle and buffalo round but a bit so so on the maple and salt water croc. Also if koalas are unpopular now will that not make them more sought after in the very distant future? I have not started buying for any particular reason and i dont intend to buy up big but its way addictive already in less than 2 weeks lol
Koalas are popular. They are minted to demand. Some years there are a 'few' and other years there are a 'gazillion.' Obviously based on many factors, one of which how cute those fury creatures are. I agree with the others. Lunars 1st, IF price is right. For example, the horse on Apmex is now going for 45.00, even with spot at 17. Many of us got them for 34.00'ish. And that story is amazing in of itself, is it not? Spot at 17, and horses at 45? I believe when we bought horses spot was around 28? Imagine if I had bought 100 eagles instead. Yikes. I think this is your best best. Lunars 1st, then Kooks, then perhaps Koalas. all the best
Lunars are very popular now. As for Koala's being not as popular today but making them more popular down the road due to lower mintage...I've had that same thought too but i have no good answer...smarter people than I may have a good answer. ..
Sort of relevant to this thread, what's say the price of 2013 kook vs 2013 lunar at the moment? I bought my first tube of rounds the other day, 20 kookaburras, but I'd really like some snakes, id be curious to know what the relative price is.
Just so you are aware, "rounds" are not the same as "coins". As for "relative price", relative to what? .
