Hi Billy. You're probably already on the best website to buy bullion just by being here. Check out the for sale section and mostly they're cheaper than dealers.

Just keep in mind that you'll probably be expected to pay first before the seller ships. And best to buy from people selling with longer memberships and feedback history.

    Cheers

With respect to Bullion Baron's post, if in a capital city, get into the habit of visiting your local dealer. You will save on postage and insurance, plus have an immediate market for your metal if you need money in a hurry. There is also a local group of stackers in each city that are handy to trade with as well.

Blow your own trumpet, list your location!

    Posting metal is expensive.

A company like Goldstackers will allow you to make many small purchases over a long period of time and they will store everything securely until you have enough silver to make it worth posting in one package. I have saved a lot of postage by doing it this way. I also pop in once in a blue moon and I collect it in person to save even more.

Yeh thats what i was thinking. I wish i was a bit closer to a capital city but im from coffs harbour which is about 6hours to sydney and about 4 hours to brisbane. i might just have to do a silver stacking road trip to brisbane.

I live in Brisbane, I do all my silver stacking road trips to Melbourne :)

I only go once every couple of years when I am there for work.

Pop into the dealer, pick up everything I have had put aside, add a few more items and that is about it. I also buy unallocated metals when the price is right and then before I go to visit them I get it converted into something else and collect it.

I also prefer to make the trip to visit a bullion dealer. When I have enough money saved up to make the trip worth it I catch the train to Goldstackers (Melbourne) and then walk over to Guardian Vaults to deposit it in my SDB. Too easy.

Sydney has a stackers meeting on the last Sunday of every month. Great time to pick up bargains. In addition, if you order from Bullion List, I can drop it over to you at the meet so you will save on shipping and insurance.

A lot of it will come down to what you are specifically looking for

As already mentioned you won't get better prices than on this forum, but outside of this forum I generally only use Perth Bullion as they seem to have the widest range of things I'm interested in, and good prices compared to most too

Gold Stackers is also very good, but they really do have a small variety of offerings but they can be really good for buybacks

As for postage costs, I don't get too bogged down on that - the reality is that it costs to have things shipped directly to you, and if you're buying a couple thousand dollars worth of metal then is $15 or so postage really a problem? I don't think so

What are you specifically looking for?

The lady owner of Bullionlist is the nicest person you can hope to meet.
Ordered an item yesterday morning and she personally delivered it to me that afternoon
    Best bullion dealer in Sydney!
Will only buy from her from now on

Last time I tried to go to a bullion dealer in Brisbane it was 2011 and the queues were out the door and delivery times were three months. Not tried since but I am sure it is easier now.

If 1oz and 2oz coins are you main interest then definitely use this forum

You can start a "Want to Buy" thread listing what you're after and if anyone has it for sale they will PM you, or you can just "Buzz" anything that someone has listed for sale

Besides this forum, then Perth Bullion would be the dealer I would go to for 1oz and 2oz coins as they have the biggest variety to choose from, although they will cost a bit more than on here

    Good Luck :)

Imo GS have a decent variety. Depends how much variety ones think is a lot.

Agree with them being really good for buybacks. I usually get the 1kg buyback bars. Good price and sometimes find some good old bars there like below. Got these DCL bars for dirt cheap!! :)
