hey im a beginner to trading PM's and i was wondering where the best place would be in general, i was thinking the perth mint, opinions anyone? thanks
hmm, should i just post up a thread in the trading area? to be honest im pretty paranoid about trading with people especially a lot of money how do i know if the person is legit?
Everyone with some feedback is pretty much legit, I dont think anyone would want to risk a negative feedback on here. Best to stick with the sellers on here who have alot of feedback and are regularly selling product.
Most people who trade regularly on here have rating tags on the side. If you need more comfort ask for some referrals or if you can put up a post on the site asking anyone for feedback about that particular person. EDIT: Only just noticed this only appears for posts in the trading website. Is this right GoldPelican???? malachii
What town you in,it helps to get to know the locals first of all All the site sponsers have really good deals & are actually on here .Spend a little with some site sponsers first to test the waters
I'm also interested in buying from here. Nothing but good reports from the traders here. Just need to find out how exactly you guys go about trading....
If you want to see what the retailers will charge you, click on one of the site sponsors in the top right corner of the screen. You then have an idea of current market price and can keep an eye on the trading threads to work out what is good value. If you want to buy something, start a "Wanting to buy thread". Have a read of this before you do though. http://forums.silverstackers.com/to...g-guidelines-thread-titles-and-bartering.html
Well it's difficult to know with absolute certainty if a person is legit until you've actually traded with them. We can recommend SS members, site sponsors and the like but you still won't know for sure until you deal with them yourself. I think a little paranoia when dealing with large sums of money is healthy, it keeps you from doing something stupid. I'd suggest you start off with smaller amounts, until you're confident enough with whom you're dealing with to trade in larger quantities.
I have dealt with several including CK, EvilSS and Roo with no problems. AeL has had nothing but rave reviews as well, and I would probably deal with him if I was in NSW. Where you are located can have a bearing on who you should deal with.
You can do a face to face With a member from your city.If your from Sydney a few members meet in the city on Wednesdays
BB are pretty good for online, but I wouldn't say 'high service, low premiums' Their customer service is tardy at best and deliveries can take around 2 weeks in my experience with them, even when you pay for premium shipping services. If you send them an email to follow up, you'll likely die of old age before you get a response. Their low premiums is questionable as well IMHO. After considering shipping, I can easily buy cheaper from Steve here in Sydney. They are fair, especially when you buy in bulk, but if you're chasing small purchases, I find it cheaper and a hell of a lot quicker to buy over the counter from one of the premium coins stores here in Sydney. No joke. I've bought from BB in the past a few times and they'll 'get the job done' - but there's no way I'd recommend them over Aurora et Luna.
There have been numerous threads on this issue but in summary...I'd vouch for the site sponsors although i've only bought from Aurora, WJ Davis and Perth Mint. Generally bars are cheaper direct from the mint but coins are cheaper from the resellers. Aurora has good service and i've had no problems. Consider postage in the total cost but it shouldn't just come down to price alone. If you can meet with the seller then it is to your advantage. Consider getting friendly with your local shops, it can't hurt to be nice and ask questions. Good luck
