Where is the Old Codger...I miss his input, especially on banking. Hope you are OK M8. Regards Errol 43
He's old school and expects respect and courtesy in discussions, hence infrequent visits. Only takes one to spoil it for the rest.
Maybe he got tired of the incessant political posts that someone here puts up a couple of times a day.
Political threads like this? If she doesn't like Dad she could try here: but if I were her, I'd put up with a few quirks for the views and the rug. But this was covered once before in a political discussion wasn't it? ( I suppose that means Tony is still at the Barracks and it's only the wife and daughter in Kirribilli and .... well no-one in the house they rented for him in Canberra. ) Personally I'm happy to get back to Billy Meirs. He makes more sense.
At least you are wearing your political bias on your sleeve now. You are simply using this forum to push your political views ad nauseum.
Well someone has to balance you RNT Actually, again, I think you're mistaken with your interpretation of my political bias. I'm against any pig with his snout in the public trough, and I'm for humanity and generally against power elites, but that's the way you define my communications and so be it. I agree with a lot of your posts (CFMEU for instance!), and I sometimes wonder how you can support the ruling party as you do, but I presume you have a different faith in the political process and a different expectation for the future. Oh well. The medium is the message isn't it?
Well, in my defence you have stated here many times that you hate Tony Abbott and the only articles that I have seen you post about "any pig with his snout in the public trough" are about conservative pigs and their snouts, never about Labor or Greens pigs at the trough. Anyway, point taken. I don't support the "ruling party" too much, I have also many times on this forum stated that I find Abbott a disappointment and that I don't regard him as a worthy PM, I have also gone on record here as saying that while I respect him as a person I think that he isn't cutting it as leader.
Last time I spoke to him he was trying to sort out the 'ignore' function. Maybe he's ignoring us all!! He still has an account and might appreciate an email Errol. Tell him we need his views on this 'bail-in' ahead.
Back off topic - don't recall saying I 'hate' him. Many times I've said he's incompetent and I enjoy watching the 'showbiz for ugly people' part of the politics circus. I don't mention Labor because they're not in power and doing rorts that have been caught out at the moment, though it won't be long I'll bet. Just as soon as they get back in and Murdoch turns on them again! And as pointed out here, there's next to no difference in the results whichever party is in. They build upon each other's best stuff ups. Besides the left usually does it's own dismantling. Rarely needs my help!
