    Hi All,

I have noticed that 1 oz Ox & Tiger comes very rarely on sale on forum & commands great premium compare to other lunar coins. 1 oz Mouse, Rabbit, Dragon is available easily while drip supply of mentioned coins here has created a artificial scarcity while the mintage of every 1oz Lunar is 300k.

Is there any logic behind this?

People are probably holding them because of the premiums

I think after dragon mania people started to look after other "choices' than dragon.so ox and tiger kind of picked up.they are probably ended up in strong hands or people just dont wanna sell them(not necessary following the market, just got them)

mouse has not been sold out until 2011,so out of interest.rabbits not so popular(yeah i know Holdfast the 5oz and 10oz rabbits are  ) and dont even ask about snake and horse....

Are the horses not popular? I thought they would be?

    If they're smart they will

I logically can't sell my tigers until the POS returns to or betters the 2010 POS when I bought them

What exactly was the price of Ox & Tigers at time of release.I think Dragons were lunched when the silver was near the peak.

I think silver was under $20USD at the time of both releases. If you want to be sure, check early September 2008 & 2009 silver prices. Even a year later, the tigers were available for $4-6USD premiums over spot. I wasn't following PM coins prior to 2010, so I don't know about the Ox coins. But I suspect they were good similarly priced.

I've started stacking in late 2010 and tigers were not available for that low ... I know this because that year my daughter was born and the premium was very high ... not even close to 4-6USD

At 20Usd Silver price, a lunar around 30 isn't called expensive, which is around 50% premium.

They were in the US at Gainesville coins in September, 2010 when the 2011 rabbits came out. I don't know about AU.

I think the good strategy is to hold on to Dragons, by end of series we may be 1 on 1 swap it with Tiger/Ox.
