    I would appreciate the opinion of some members please. What would be a good value price for both buyer and seller of some scrap sterling silver jewellery in regards to spot price on the value of the contained metal. Thank you all !

    Expect to pay from spot upto twice spot
    Pawnbrokers will charge up x 5 spot
    It's hard to sell it above spot
    I got offered a chunky necklace & bracelet last weekend
    250 grams for both $500 ,I didn't have the $ so I had to
    let it go.
    Peter Davis had some yesterday for $1.50 gram

    Nearly had a punt on a nice antique Double Albert chain a few weeks ago, 255 grams for $450. If he'd have dropped to 400 or even 425 I'd have had it.

    This month, I'll let him drop it again and its mine. Every link is hallmarked sterling. It'll look pretty mean to wear out too :D
