20 X 2011 kooks, called store asked for price went in the next day and they said more $$, and I thought WTF! Thought they were trying to rip me off but little did I know they were just quoting spot
First silver bullion coin was a Maple in year 2000. Was contemplating between the Eagle or Maple. Finally decided the maple because the purity was .9999 versus .999
In 1982, one of my best mates made a coin die for a 16th century piece of eight! To test his die making skills, I purchased my first ever ounce of silver from the Perth Mint. That year at another mates workshop, giggling like girls, on a few beers! We heated this small ingot up with a blow torch, then smashed the die into the silver with a hammer, the end result was! well I have a photo to show, Theoretically in my eyes this was the first silver coin I had purchased. ( albeit a counterfeit ) To this day I still have this coin in my pocket everywhere I go.
10 x Andean cats from Royal silver after i saw stella's video, but by the time they finally showed up Maggie had helped with 2 or 3 delivery's.
A 2004 Kooka from my mate in August this year for $40. Have bought a lot more silver since getting the bug way back when spot was around $40 an Oz!! Povman
My first silver purchase that i know of was either a 1/2oz lunar monkey plus 1/2oz lunar snake or a 1oz 2009 koala - i can't remember. What ever it was it gave me the confidence to go again.
A 2011 Kookaburra for my girlfriend.... Haha. I bought a bunch of bullion for myself at the same time though.
An old kook, can't remember what year I started collecting though. Lost him with my wallet on berrys beach at Phillip Island while climbing some rocks near the cliffs, no doubt it's still waiting for me, burried under a meter of sand. Every so often I think and hope that someone will find my wallet and return it (plastic cards in the wallet should still hold up ok) i'd pay a pretty penny to have my first bit of Silver back
