I bought this antique piece last week. Haven't a clue what it is; hopefully someone here can identify its function. Hallmarks identify this piece as sterling silver, manufactured in Birmingham in 1909 Length approximately 3cms Cheers
What can I tell...? Just stating the obvious... It's a fastener of some type. Something placed between the clip and the bead slides up to secure it. The "hook" holds it from the other side, e.g. a button hole.
Very dapper. I think it would suit you perfectly and go to good use. I love how these items have a story... from by a gone era. Styling it all the way Sammy!
Should put on condition , Sammysilver have to use it. Takes photos and put in the forum, in this thread ( how he used it )
