I guess the reasons I started have changed over time. I started because I liked some of the designs and seen them as collectables. A short time passes and the reasons change....
Then its value for your dollar and a good way to save.
Then its protect your family for there future.
Then its a nice a shinny coin I like so I have to have it.
Then its back to family future.
Then its buy and sell for short term profit.
Then its, its, its, i dont know anymore......
That's it, just stack and see what happens!!!!! lol

I suck at 'saving' but rock at buying shiny things.

    As above.
I love buying PMs as it means i am saving in a form that is more difficult to spend and i think that i am addicted to doing it (which came from the wife during our last argument).

Also i saw the movie 'Loopers' and would love to be able to walk into a safe and see stacks of kg bars. - I wish they were mine.

It's my way of saving, without using a bank.

That said, at least the bank wouldn't have given me a 30% haircut, they'd at least give me 3% in interest!

Keeps my assets secure and private from those that would like to pry, or confiscate my wealth.

For me silver means trying to avoid becoming a victim of legalized theft.
