Silver stackers rejoice ! Silver rarity is assured.
At the present price of Ag, mine supply of Ag will fail as uneconomic within a few years. (hint : Ag price must rise)
Not to say that I could ignore numismatic premiums for such coins as PM lunars, they have been a sweet deal - up to now.

If price rise, mine will reopen.

    Sure, It's complex.
Also, better not ignore mines closing due to low silver grades, because they presently high grade production to stay in business.

Don't delude yourself. In terms of naturally occurring substances in the earth:

    Silver is not rare.

    Gold is not rare.

    On the other hand:

Rare earth metals like Osmium are rare.

Rarity means so many things to different people.

Truth is to buy what you like. Its only if you worry about throwing money away that you must buy what others WILL like at some future time.

Of course but "rarity" can not mean anything at all regardless of how much some people want it to.

It's no different from "unique". Unique can not mean anything at all that someone wants it to mean.
