So I have some ASE's, Koalas, Canadian Maples and 10 oz Perth mints.

What premium would I put on them over spot for valuation purposes?

Would it be a percentage, or a fixed dollar amount?

Things are moving so fast, it hard to keep a track on the sale value of my stack. (spot value is easy)

I would think $5 over spot for ASE and maples, $7 over spot for Koalas, $3 over spot for 10oz PM.

    What do you think?

For valuation, I just use spot as theses are bullion. I use the Perth mint buyback price as my base level because I know I can be there in 10 minutes and unload the lot if needs be, anything above that is a bonus.

Yes, but that bonus is of interest to me.

I want to count my chickens.

Then add 10% for the insurance man, and deduct 10% for the taxman.

That's odd as I assumed the smaller the Troy ounce, the larger the premium and I also assumed that coins would have a larger premium than bars as the production is more difficult and limited number of specific coins.

For ASE and Maples, I use 15% over spot in Aus if selling individually. (Although when there is a dip and there is heaps of buying you can get up to 25-30% over spot).

For Perth Mint coin's I import from http://www.perthmintbullion.com/View-All-Bullion.aspx and use their sell price.

I think this gives me a fairly accurate total if I were to sell at my plessure.

Not really odd, it takes much more effort to mint a 1oz coin than pour a 10oz bar. I'm basing these premium prices on what the Perth Mint sells compared to spot price (which has always been quite consistent), it's also the premium they normally pick up on eBay. Of course, the educated buyer can usually pick them up cheaper, especially if purchasing in bulk.

Edit: Just re-read your post...just to clarify
    1 oz Koala = $10 - so for 10x you're paying $100 premium
the 10oz bar is only $18 in premium.

Easiest way is to look them up on ebay, even with the spot moving up and down you just have to check the bullion dealers there as they move with the spot. just search X coin and you can judge the average premium over spot in a matter of seconds.
