NO, this is from Downies. They first sent out the pre order notice to those who have bought Zeus from them, whoever not bought that from them, could ask them to be put on the waiting list, when they have more they will do it first come first serve. ALL limit 1 each perosn Edit, According to Downies, they can let their VIP customers (those who spent certain amount of $ in a year) buy 2 Poseidon coins, but I am not a VIP now, so can only buy 1 from them
Correct except they took my order for 2 of them i did not think they would let me have two but they did to my suprise. I was also able to get 2 manul coins when i was on the wait list.
I just asked them on the phone, they told me VIP members can buy 2. So you must spend a lot of money at Downies?
Thanks i was wondering why i was able to get 2 of them. I used to spend lots of dollars there when i sold aussie coins in canada when they were hot over here not so much anymore. I guess it paid off for buying from there.
you are welcome. I used to buy plenty from their Eurocolletion site. But after they closed that web site, their price goes out of roof, so I do not buy much from them any more. Thus, they told me I am not their VIP member at the moment
If you managed to get one this round. You'll have to do it all again next round I stayed out of this one. Learnt my lesson on many other proof coins in the past. A certain "clownfish" word still brings terror to many members minds. lol Good luck to all those that get one.
as long as the PM says "unavailable" and not "sold out" does that mean they will keep putting more coins up?
Should do. It says they'll be available until 5th June so could be something as simple as slowly releasing x amount every hour/day. Downies had them and managed to snag one (big thank you to a fellow SS member for the tipoff, legend!) but it came up as 'sold out' a few minutes later.
Unfortunately I think it means the same thing in this case. I remember the Zeus was 'unavailable' for a few days but it never became available again.
This was a sham all along. The Perth Mint never mentioned to the public before midnight that even if you added the coin to your cart, paid for the coin using a credit card that you would still need to wait an undefined amount of time before knowing if you had won the opportunity to take possession of the item you just paid for. For any other business this would be considered dishonest and possibly illegal.
I also just got a tip from a very nice SS fellow that told me Downies had them, but unfortunately I don't camp this forum long enough to read the PM, Downies ran out by then.
If the corner shop ran a website that couldn't handle 500 simultaneous users placing orders, I'd think they were a bit clueless... but for a company that has a pre-tax profit in the region of $36 million... wow... just, wow.
