    Hey all,
I was at the local tender centre this morning and someone has taken in a bunch of medals, I think they are ww2 service medals.
Question is do they contain much silver?? They look to me as if they do... But never know

    Mate,
Personal opinion, being service medals I would not be looking at silver content which if any would be bugger all value. They are someone's service medals and personally I think that is the biggest value. Do they have a service number on the rim of them or something to identify who owned them?

I am a big believer that service medals should stay with family, I want my sons to get mine and then for them to be passed on to their sons. Some poor bugger may have gone through hell to get them, lots of history behind that type of stuff.
