Hi Jack, start here. http://www.coincommunity.com/us_half_dollars/walking_liberty.asp hope that helps, lots of info, just google. Gaz
Glad I could help if it's American coins you like, the peace dollar & Morgan dollars are my favourite. You should pay $32-$40 each, big silver coin. Australian coins - I love 1937 crowns, try to pay under $40. And 1966 50c - about $12. There is a calculator up top of screen, it converts both AUS & USA coins into silver value. Handy.
I paid 10 dollars for a Fine half dollar....i also got a lovely fine morgan dollar for 35 dollars...i don't mind finding a bargain on the round 50s or 37' crowns...
You want it Graded?, i can reccommend ACGS - American Coin Grading Service for this coin. they would surely be the company you are indeed looking for as American Numismatics are there specialty and grading is there business. Then again, perhaps i have become confused an abiguity.. opps. Just having fun. Answers: 1. Half Dollar: Dude - we cant take the photo for you. If you want someone here to grade it we will require an image. 2. Isle of Man Silver jubilee 1952-1977, Queen elizabeth ll obverse Value: $5? if your lucky.. metal.. Cupro-nickel (the silver is referring to the duration of the jubilee being celebrated) This PRO GRADING service would make your initial investment look like chump change. congrats on the purchase. US WALKING EAGLE Half dollars are sooo nice to hold, the Barber Half is harder to get a decent example of but they are simply the best in hand. 1for1
doesn't matter the webcam wasn't clear enough......hmm i got a coin dealer to grade it for me and he said fine....but he wasn't sure he was sorta leaning over to XF....btw it is a 1923 "s" half dollar.
Big difference between the grades, you should have Vfine before it gets to Xfine wear on the skirt and eagles head/claws seem to be the markers.
Here an example of MS64. Close up video capture: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCLYmbpRJfo&feature=player_embedded
