Alex Jones is so full on! I like alot of his stuff but he still will always come across as crazy to the majority i think. If things are just how he says they are its gonna be an interesting next few years.
Mubarak did exactly the same in Egypt. When he could not disperse the Tahrir (Liberty) Square demonstrations he shut down the police service. The aim was to frighten the people so that they go home to protect their families and property. For days the population set up neighborhood teams to patrol and maintain security. Mubark then released criminals from prison and used corrupt elements from the police to organise the criminals to make them more effective in spreading fear in the population. All this did not save him from eventually falling. It is amazing how a population can quickly organise a substitute security system. The key is for the people to understand the plans of these criminals.
