I stumbled upon this and it seemed great condition and the number had a lot of zeros in it.. Not very scientific i know lol, price was 25 i haggled and got it for 20. I know nothing of notes I'm a silver guy mainly, but i am not against a gamble now and then. What do you guys make of this? its not quite as crisp as it looks in the photos of you hold it on eye level you can see a few minor creases but nothing major to my untrained eyes. There was others denominations there but this one was the best condition.
I do not collect nor know a lot but from what I can see it is around 1970 - 77 (Page signature) it looks in UNC or aUNC condition. A one pound for that year looks at about $10, and a specimen is around $110. So I would think a Ten Pound could be worth more. The run number of 900001 would hold some interest for sure, not sure on what first and last prefixes are in GB, however it normally is A or AA etc... SO C would think it is somewhere in general circulation so the number and condition becomes the value. I am sure others can add, still a very nice example.
I think it's a very good grab. The serial looks good, but I think it were better if it started with "0" and not "9".
