With the price of gold at $1600 an ounce, the treasure could be worth around $285,000.

A video of the nugget has been posted on video sharing website YouTube.

A monster gold nugget weighing 3.66kg was discovered in the same region last year.

The nugget, named the Destiny Nugget by the discoverers, was said to be one of the largest nuggets to be discovered in Victoria in the past 10 years

Uncle Russ's t-shirts, I like it! :D Should get his old dirty ones (like he wears in the vids) and sell them.

His DNA would make them worth heaps more.

Hope to do some more random filming in coming weeks. Gunna take out a tripod for the camera so footage may be less shakier. My speech therapist has given up on rounding my vowels so you will be stuck with the same quality commentary. :p

Its the same clip as the yahoo link. Just 22 secs of the nugget being turned over to show all sides.

They need a special comments man to make their vids much more interesting. :p

EM's Places where Friggen Big Nuggs have possibly been recently found and definitely been found prior to recently Guided Tours.

Basicly You either jump in my crap vehicle, or Uncle Russ's pajero equivalent, and we will drive you to places in Central Vic where Gold may be found. You may wish to BYO vehicle and follow, but dont whinge if your toorak trac gets scratched and dirty. Cost per booking will be considerable but will offer value for PMs which would be a preferred currency.

BYO detector, or you can borrow my soon to pick up trade-in. This will cost heaps more (same deal for Uncle Russ's machine) but includes me or him to coach and dig bits and pieces of stuff for you.

Price for this normally priceless adventure is 1oz Gold. (not really, but bloody well ought to be!)

    Price includes Free International Roast.

BYO food. Im not yer Mum.

Only need 177 takers to catch up to that other bloke. :p

Old girl at a certain gold field used to charge about $100 to take a person out prospecting for a a few hours, included equipment and fuel. She carried some fly shit with her in case they didn't find anything, just so the punter would go home happy.

Activities organisers at a certain CQ resort popularly frequented by Japanese tourists in the 80's and 90's used to take these Jap tourists on mud crab catching tours. Before picking up the Jap tourists, they'd go to the the local fisherman's co-op and buy some live muddies and put them in the pots.
