    I just hope Western Australia has the balls to secede from the Commonwealth and become a sovereign state with those principles.

    The Swiss got it right. They almost blew it with a recent vote on rifle laws but it didn't pass :)

    what does soverign state mean?? and while you're at it i'd also like a simple explanation of austerity. I have tried to look it up in the dictionary but doesn't explain in simple term what it means. thanks guys :)

    Austerity is basically the term used for the measures required for society at large to start paying off the debts it has racked up.

    Austere - similar to spartan, minimal, bare, frugal.
