...imagine that...

Maloney speaks of gold & silver accounting for all the paper currencies throughout time. It's going to happen again. History repeats. What would an ounce of gold & silver be worth when that happens? I shudder to think...

History repeats... but *never* has there been a global fiat reserve.

Never

This will be unprecedented...

Sure there's enough gold... they just have to let the market find it's real price of over 50,000/oz in todays' dollars.

Makes Bernanke sound like a fool.

If he said the truth, which is exactly as you put it, it reveals his game. He'd have to say......

"we can't go gold standard, because it would show up how much we have robbed people of their purchasing power"

EXACTLY! A gold standard can be screwed with beyond recognition, but at least people would know who to blame for the destruction of their currency. Nowadays, people have no idea who is to blame---they know it's happening---but they don't know who is responsible, so they blame the most public figures (president, reps, CEO's) because that's who they see. People can't blame what they don't see. Didn't Keynes himself talk about our current system of inflation as being one in which "not one man in a million can diagnose"?

It was mentioned in another thread that they were considering passsing it. Short story. It has been passed.

What I do find extremely surprising is some of the sheeples comments on this being passed. I have cherry picked a few for LoL's. I think this highlights just how clueless some people are about gold and silver.

I would be particulary interested in hearing Hobo-Jos opinion on this and where this public opinion sits on the scale of phase 3?

Yep and Henry Ford said "It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning."

Utah should 1st consider fixing some of their other problems first, like polygamy & non-consentual marrige of under-age girls.

it's also illegal on Utah to;

for women to swear,
to fish from horseback,
not to giveway to a bird on a highway &
not to drink milk
(that's right, in Utah it's considered a felony to NOT drink milk!)

Found this quote from the article amusing...

It would make perfect sense for a former Government approved extortionist to say such a thing... :)

Wow, the notion alone from Utah to move back to a gold standard is a real surprise. I just viewed stellaconcepts YT vid. Was not aware.

I watched this vid and promptly purchased some silver this morning.

I merged a few threads together - the same topic was started in three different forums.
