I find the amount of users online a very telling sign - 'most users ever online was 38 YESTERDAY'! Common (until recently) to see only 7-10 users online. HotCopper is another place I love to watch for contrarian signals - In The Past, silver has always taken off when there have been no posts on silver for a couple of days. Has worked like a charm (coupled with charts) - I suspect the strategy will need to change somewhat when masses flock to HC & other like minded forums.
Being from Vancouver Island I wanted an insight into the Asian Markets. Thought you guys might help. Also those Americans [on forums]are really annoying with their "talk, talk, talk, listen to me, and I`ve got something to say."
I came here to get on a board that does not have a lot of American Posters. It is like a breath of fresh air to be here. Not trying to bash Americans, but it seems that they tend to forget that a world exists outside of the USA.
1 in 10 visitors to this site are from the US - 1 in 5 are from outside of Australia. Will be interesting to see if this trend changes over time - it's been pretty much 80-82% Australian members since the forum started.
Talking about forums I find SS to be 1000% more readable in content than that HC. I reckon those HC's moderators are biased towards certain upward trends (like BJ and other fellow U'tubers) because is you ever speak your opinion about a particular stock or topic which is not in the way the HC moderator wants it to be you are muted, even if it's just another view point. In fact I know other people who have stopped using the site for information because it's nothing but paper permabulls maybe we on SS will have the last moderate yet eh ! keepin on stackin
If silver goes up in leaps and bounds like it did on Friday in NY, just watch the SS members on line rise to the heavens as well as the visitors. Like if it hits above $35 and goes up at least a $ a trading night.. Then the number on line will sky rocket. Regards Errol 43
Wow, glad to see "Americans" are sooo loved by some posters here. Note of who not to buy from. Thanks!
Next thing you know, they'll have "Americans Only" sections of the website with the mods on the look out to make sure we don't sneak in and sully their posts.
Americans are ok. The ones I have met outside of America seem to be pretty switched on, and obviously the ones on Silver Stackers are widening their horizons. They are pretty stereotyped but then so are us Brits and as it is an Australian forum I won't even begin to mention how Australians are seen abroad. Of course, a few of the Americans on the forum seem to have stumbled on it by accident and haven't helped the cause.
Loved, cherished, admired. Need I go on? Oh and respected, held in awe etc. It's the New Zealanders and Tasmanians that are a worry.
That's why I absolutely love living in Aussieland 95% of the locals understand comments above are just tongue and cheek piss taking unlike others from far off distant lands who just don't get it because of the lack of black humour. oophs! I said black I may be called a racist - replace with dark humour
