    Something I came across online:

    From: http://cnsnews.com/news/article/73-new-jobs-created-last-5-months-are-government

Thats all the article pretty much, just thought it was a staggering tidbit on the growth of Leviathan.

There is a book by Ben Elton where 99% of jobs are government jobs. Was a good read but not so far fetched I think.

So much for the touted US recovery.

No surprise here. Obama just likes things to appear nice when they really aren't. I don't see how this could help the economy at all.

For a government that's already broke, you do have to wonder at the level of 'wisdom' in engineering an environment for political show that ensures so much of the populace are reliant on the government either for employment or sustenance

When the government defaults, the population of that country not self reliant will riot and the place will descend into chaos.

It's no wonder the government of the day are pushing so hard to jump on every tragic event when some nutbag goes ballistic to disarm the population.

When the population realises the government isn't going to save them when they go broke, you'll see this sort of crap nation wide IMHO.

It's the whole jobs thing. The whole "everyone has to work a 40 hour week" still despite all the productivity improvements we've seen.

Government basically taxes people to the limit it can get away with and inflates the rest insuring people have to keep continually working all the time in this 40hr week paradigm. When the market starts to revolt against it and lots of people lose their jobs the answer is to create pointless jobs just so they get a wage.

Tax one group of people tons of money and give it to another group to push around papers and other useless things. Then because of ridiculous taxes the first group is working much more than they would have to, and the second group is wasting countless hours each week doing virtually nothing productive.

It's complete madness. The entire paradigm needs to change and I think we'd have much better quality lives as a result. But people just won't let go of this tradition despite the fact the world has clearly changed.
