Hi...Im fairly new on this forum. I would like to post a sales thread including a photo of the item I wish to sell. Can someone please give me a simple step by step process to upload the photo into the thread as I am struggling and unable to do it successfully......your advice would be most welcome. Cheers
First of all make sure your photo/s are less than 1MB (1024kb to be precise). Make sure you are logged in and select the "Upload Image" link underneath the Blue Silver Stackers banner at the top. Follow the instructions from there.
Ive done that.......The picture appears now there are no further instructions on how to export this pic to the sales tread........how do I now go about including the Pic in the tread as the Pic is in a stand alone box and the only way is to go 'Back' But then it is all lost???
1. Click "Upload Image" from the top link: 2. Click the Browse button 3,4. Select the image file from your local directory 5. Submit the image 6. Copy the link from the "Image" field: 7. Page the link to your post

If anyone is having problems re-sizing their photos download this simple program it is free - http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDownload.htm It is really simple and can do batches as well. Any photo I use for here I always change the name so it has ss in it ie: 1234ss.jpeg that way I know that file is a reduced size. Can also be used for Gumtree, ebay etc... Get the program, they have some other handy tools so look at what else is on offer to.
F*** all that Upload the photo to http://imageshack.us/ Then just use the img button to do the rest. Sorted EDIT to add Happy to talk people through it (and posting youtube video's as well) via PM. Just check to see if I'm online and that it isn't during "drinking" time and we're away.
You have to join and then upload a large file, people with slow internet can take ages to load a couple of pics. Most cameras are at least 5mg plus pics these days. In steps it is probably similar but if someone doesn't want to upload images. A resizer is a simple solution. Each to their own. Yup that will work, providing you have taken the photo with a camera around 1-2 megapixel. Anything else and the file is going to be too large as a standard Jpeg.
Australia is on adsl 2, gold standard is ADSL 6 (could be wrong). Yet price gouged Aussies are paying ADSL 2000 prices Time to dissolve the commonwealth of Australia and form separate countries so that we can have some real competition on this continent.
There are heaps of tutorials online explaining how to resize images. Nonetheless, if the original poster does not want to 'learn' anything new (even though it is quite obvious computers are well n truly here to stay), then Nugget's recommendation is best.
Well I can't see the point in arguing which is best etc... but lets just agree as you said there are plenty of options available We have just given 3
