Read below and you will have your answer as to why gold price is on the way down. The Universe is full of the stuff, moon size and several moons of it. It is just a matter of getting up there and mining it. The paragraph below is no joke.

Last year, NASA discovered a burst of gamma rays that appeared to be two stars colliding. A week later, the Hubble Space Telescope went to the same spot, only to discover newly generated atoms - some of which indicated there was the equivalent of several Earth's moons worth of gold. Such collisions are rare, however, occurring about once in every 100,000 years.

    ^^^ Snigger!

I won't be worried until you can cost effectively send man 3.9bn light years away to collect the stuff ;)

That particular gamma ray burst occurred in a galaxy 4 billion light years from Earth. Good luck getting there and back before our Sun dies. :)

But even if our own solar system has asteroids of gold floating around for the taking, the energy cost of getting there and back would be prohibitive and would not help in lowering the spot price.

Anighttradet, there is enough gold inside earth to cover the entire earths surface with a 3 foot thick layer of gold... we dont need to be looking at other dimensions and worm holes.

Yeah, mining it on the moon will be so cheap that prices will crash...

There is a parallel universe where my house is made of gold - until it's cost effective to travel to that universe I don't think it will impact spot price.

    Video not working.

    Mining on the Moon?

Why not mine from the ocean- and sea floors and mine on Antarctica?
over 80 % of the planet's surface hasn't been thoroughly mined. There must be a lot of gold, oil and other resources.
