I am looking to purchase my first 1/2 oz of Au. I have 3 options outside of ainsley bullion which are: 1. A 10gram PAMP fortuna with a 5gram PAMP fortuna for $833 plus p/h. 2. 2 x 1/4 oz of 2012 Lunar Dragon coins for $914 plus p/h. 3. 3 x 5gram PAMP 2012 Dragon bars for $867 plus p/h. I recognise options 1 and 3 are slightly short of half an ounce. Thanks in advance all.
Go for whatever gets you more gold for less money - at the end of a bull nobody will care so much how pretty it is, they will just be happy to buy some at a lower price.
Or you could get a 1/2oz Lunar for $860 Or you could put in a 'Wanted to buy' ad on silverstackers and see what people will offer you. You might find it closer to spot than the options you've listed.
+1 with the advice to list a WTB ad. You'll probably be able to get fractional coins at reasonable prices if that's a suitable option. Also try not to get too hung up on the issue of liquidity or brand names. You'll have no problem selling a generic 1/2 oz button here. I know where you're coming from re pamps, I also too really like their presentation. Mr.G
