    Turkey asks its citizens to swap their gold for pretty certificates - to be stored in national gold deposits...

    They reckon Turks have around 5,000 tonnes of gold stashed away in jewellery, coin & bars etc...

    Well, if YOUR govt asked you to swap yours for paper, you would, right?!?!?

    This wheeze is gonna run & RUN...

    Until the banks RUN!

    Sounds like national pawn! Give us your gold jewellery, here's a certificate for the gold, and a bank account balance in lira for it's value when you gave it to us.
