    What about Australian $200 coins? I think I'd take one of those over things like half sovereigns.

    I my self have just started to buy gold, have been stacking silver for 12 months now, and have found the unallocated program that goldstackers offer to be the best option for me. They offer a very small premium over spot for the 1 gram option and i'm more then happy to just contribute to that until it becomes enough to redeem some physical from 1/4 oz or up.
