    Version I read a few days ago on News.com.au has some slight variations. Said it took 20hours to open whereas the above article claims it took weeks...

    Any way, version I read contains the juicy detail- how much was in the safe? Apparently $2.5m so hope they did toss him a few K! Big ass safe too, weighed 1,500kg.

    The fact that this is published implies the owner (rightly) did not reward the locksmith beyond the agreed fee.
