The long range really works! Here's where I dug two nuggets detected at long range. Not revealing the location.

Using my trusty Rangertell Long Range Detector, I managed to find a small pile of gold in a park in Perth.

Sadly I can't afford to invest any of my hard earned in the real thing (even at the current heavily discounted price) :(

As my life too is full of ennui (finally got to me and I had to google it lol) so I used a bit of gaffer tape to stick an old antennae from a radio, a scientific calculator, a groovy looking circuit board, and a kids toy pistol together.

To be honest I didn't expect it to work as it's somewhat of a poor imitation and looks a bit tacky, unlike the highly engineered Rangertell which has obviously seen massive amounts of time and money put into the development.

I had to go to the local tip this morning to drop off some green waste from the recent storm, and figured it might be a good place to test my creation. After a while the antennae started to swing around in circles! I figured I was either on to something big (maybe even diamonds!), although the other possibility could have been the fact that I'm a bit shaky after partying with the Bundy Bear last night....

I started walking in the direction of the antennae and kept my eyes peeled for a stack of diamonds, or perhaps a big gold nugget - after walking a few hundred metres I finally hit the payload!

Here's my find for the day

It must be real sensitive. Didn't have to wait millenia for this find. Damn accurate. Be careful it may just point to the source next, as it does find the Mother Lodes ?
