Bought a couple of 5 and 10oz Scottsdale tombstones, and they look so nice, much better in person. I'm surprised so many people hate them here. Would post a pic if I knew how to
Came home to find all these lovely things waiting for me: home-poured Bear Metal bars, hand-made knife from tas stacker and 2oz Tiger which was for a birthday gift and much appreciated too! The detailing on the knife is superb: Definitely a good buy!
I bought a 2oz, 5oz, 10oz and Kilo lunar monkey to go along with my 1oz and 1/2 oz to finish the collection for this year. No pics though.....
Got my order in for 1 - 2016 proof Platinum Eagle. Limit 1 per household. Mintage 10,000. Sold out in 56 minutes. Now if only the US Mint can send them all out by Monday.
i found this today at a garage sale. knowing nothing about it, i brought it. along with some coins and tokens and what not. i figured i would be able to post an image here and people may be able to bring me up to date on what i have. thank you
Wow!! That's a quite rare 17th-century Tibetan spirit protector.. Not many are known to have survived the tumultuous Ming era. Actually, I have no idea.. I've seen this kind of stuff before, but now don't remember where or what they're called, heh.
I managed to find a Chinese friend to translate the back roughly to "all silver" or made of silver or something similar.. She said it was double happiness thing given as a gift like 100 years ago or so.. So might have actually been a great pick up.. But it remains to be seen. Might be a fake? Might take it to goldstackers on Monday if I'm still around the city still.
Yeah, could be a fake, who knows. Possible fakes..? http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odk...Xsilver+medal.TRS2&_nkw=silver+medal&_sacat=0
Latest pickups...the shark rounds were only $17.20 each ($16.94 each last week after CC cash back bonus!) Source: Google Minus
it's a fake, not silver at all, took it to cashies for a rub test, haven't XRFed it yet so i don't know what it actually is. the guy in there said "it doesn't have .925 on it, so it's not silver" i asked if he had seen any .800 silver or .999 and he said "those will be something else and not silver, silver always says 925" so clearly this guy knew his stuff!! 30 years in the industry he told me.. :\ also found out they are currently paying a massive .20 cents a gram for silver and $30 a gram for gold..
Actually a 100gr rabbit bar which not included the photo and these sweet wafers: JNS-Filipinas Bullion
Glad to have picked these up before spot prices spiked. I'm not sure if the seal on the tube is original or not, someone please chime in if you know, thanks! Source: Google Minus
I don't recall Royal Mints security tape being that way. But perhaps they could have changed it. Mine didn't come with a tape and it was ordered from Royal Mint. Did you manage to get the capsules?
I couldn't resist opening it and I confirmed it was not mint sealed. Thankfully the coins look to be in good shape as of now, no major issues. Capsules for all of these 2oz pieces are obnoxiously expensive so we are not going to bother with capsules unless we can find some less than .70 each. Even lighthouse 39mm capsules that don't close all the way are an option we are considering.
Nothing special in my pick up but I really like this series!
