I am in western china atm, all the markets here have a lot of silverware, mostly its Tibetian silver.

Anyone know anything about the quality of Tibetian silver and would it be worthwhile buying some. All the traders tell me is its PURE silver, but this is china and a lot a BS goes around in markets.

The silversmiths have square cross section rods, about a foot long that they beat into bracelets. The silver is soft. What is it ???

    Cheers

Buy the cheapest piece you can, and Google silver testing using acid. See if it's real.

From what I garnered, the only thing silver about tibetan silver is it's colour.

    Stay well clear!
