THUCYDIDES79 Sits across from me at work 4 Days a week.

Recently I picked 10 x 1oz Bars of Scottsdale silver came in a seal plastic sleeve

THUCYDIDES79 has been pestering me to trade 1 oz 2011 kook for a 1 oz Scottsdale bar

I understand the kook is worth more in face value but I do not want to break up the tribe, so we decided as a bit of fun to let silver stackers Decide by today 10th March

    ???

I'm fairly new here so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt, but I'd do that deal. Aside from the coin being worth a little bit more, I'd want to diversify what I held.

and zachary has been declining the deal for a while now.

So please guys tell him, that he is getting a reasonable deal.

    I'll play Devil's advocate.

The Scottsdale is better since it is scarcer. You can't just buy one at any local coin dealer.

    The Kookaburra is commonplace.

Zach, clearly it's a sellers market and Thucydides is an eager buyer if ever I saw one, you should try to squeeze him for a round 50c as well.

If it was a 10 Oz Scottsdale Stacker Bar i reckon i'd pay more coz they look/feel scchhweet and you can stack 'em..and theyre scarcer here in Oz.As far as Kooks, well every Tom Dick and THUCYDIDES has got one of them :0p

Well like others have pointed out you could ask for a 1966 50c piece also, but even they are commonplace and won't easily fill the hole left by giving up a Scottsdale bar.

You have the upper hand; so use it. Maybe he'll give you two kookaburras for it. :)
