The later Kennedy halves are a nice design - but in bulk, they take up 2.5 times the space that 999 would for the same weight.
I have quite a few 40% Kennedy 1/2's. They are really nice coins. The real pick though is the 64 Kennedy 1/2 90%. A great investment IMHO. If you can get any quality silver coins at spot I'd say your doing really well.
Hmmm so would you guys pay spot for these? or under spot? they have the terrible "clad" designation so i thought they might not even be worth spot, but i have no idea thats why im asking
swedish kronas after ww 2 are also 40 %. i own som of those thanks to Thucy playing hold em with me. Thanks Thucy
the only reason i'd buy 40% silver is if i could turn around and sell it immediately at a profit. i would not want to keep it around.
I'm with yellow sub. Not a big fan of the 40% stuff. I have a few of them but when I buy junk its usually .800, .900, or even .925. Love the 64 halves bought half a roll of them not too long ago.
I wouldn't pay a premium for them for sure though I would probably pay spot or below. They are more copper than silver, it's almost like the silver is an impurity. I have a few of the Kennedys but I haven't actively sought them out. They polish up nicely but it is just down to what you intend to do with them. For long term stacking I would go with a more pure silver but for trading as spot rises they might not be a bad idea, providing you can get them at the right price.
