Just bought a 500G PAMP like this from City Gold in Brisbane. An absolute stunner of a bar, with certificate in a new plastic box set-up, I am in love. Added bonus - serial number is 000004. 1, 2, 3 and 4 are gone, but still under 20's available I believe.
Willrocks - I hear you buddy, but plenty of other bars for that. I think PAMP has a reputation as premium bullion and they have positioned their brand at this end of the market. I was glad to see them continue down this path of product differentiation. I had always wanted a PAMP piece with the Lady Fortuna image on it, but didn't want a 1oz in certicard or bigger bar loose with potential for damage. Comes down to personal preference in the end I suppose. Horses for courses
I read that there are extraordinarily well made fake PAMPs being sold. Did you drill yours to see if it is filled with junk metal?
While you're at it, just check if there's any oil deposits in that huge chunk of metal! But in all seriousness, fantastic acquisition! (Now go for the kilo one, hehe)
The kilo is very hard to find for some reason, been looking for it ever since I got the 500grammer. APMEX had one at $1,600 a while ago! Must be exceptionally low mintage numbers for it
Wow. Didn't know it was that expensive! Well it's not surprising since they probably have to make sure the bar turns out flawless!
If that is the KG price, mate stick to the 500G. I could have bought over 2.5KG worth of 500G bars for that money... But I think Apmex prices must be out of touch with reality, because I paid a lot less than their price for the 500G.

I am going to say it. Yes I am, PAMP is yummy. To bad you can only get the PAMP half kilo silver minted bar. What does one have to do, get on a plane to Zurich just to buy the PAMP kilo mint bar? Too bad they are unavailable in Australia. Great buy hotdogma ! Do they stacking well? Cos they look great.
