Quote "The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of these 2013 Year of the Snake 1oz Silver Coloured Coins, in special World Money Fair Coin Show packaging, from a maximum mintage of 100,000." So the Perth Mint have taken 5000 of the 100,000 maximum mintage of the coloured snake and put in their stock standard red and black boxes and are charging a primium for them right? Now my question is do they now have to ammend the description of the 1oz coloured snake to say that their are now only 95,000 of them avalible as we have put 5000 of them in boxes. They can't advertise it any other way, can they? (Perth Mint doing what they do best, being slippery in thier advertising. Yet another reason to stay away from their releases.) :/
The Perth Mint's wording on their coloured coins has always been similar. The earlier coloured lunars like the Mouse has wording like "no more than 3,800 of these coins will be released in this special packaging" but a total of 170,000 of the coins could be minted.
