    US mint does this often. It takes coins that can be had separately often for less money, then pairs them together to make a "unique" and "limited" set and charges more. Prices on secondary market soar, but people tend to forget that although there may be just 125 of this set, there are virtually millions or at least thousands of these coins available to collectors. The coins are not rare. The only thing that is "rare" is the packaging. You have to think is the packaging worth that extra amount.....I guess it depends on how much you like the set and the coins. I don't see this set appreciating in value.
