..was my first thought on receiving my awaited parcel today. And it was. I'd been sent 1/4oz coins instead of 1/2oz coins. Right number, wrong type. Kinda kills the moment. So.. make a call. 'Ah - yeah send us an email with photos but we'll probably deal with it on Wednesday after the long weekend. We're closing early today.' ... Not exactly the response you would hope for.
At this stage, I'm just waiting to see how things turn out next week (which is why there are no names mentioned). But really, I'd think this sort of thing should be dealt with at least in terms of setting out what is to be done before you head off on a long weekend. I'm reasonably confident that it will be sorted out next week, but it still is a pretty poor response...
Nod. Ah well. Another few days and it should sort out. Still, not the warm glow you expect from a new arrival. Don't know if I'll have to keep these or have to send them back and exchange, so they don't exactly feel like mine.
seems reasonable to me. they'll probably have to do a bit of an inventory to confirm they sent you the wrong coins, etc
Ouch, sorry to hear that... especially before Easter! Hopefully they'll resolve this afterwards, keep us posted On the bright side they replied to you somewhat so it's not like ebay where the guy just ran off with your $ and left you with crap haha. (happened to me before, paypal dispute ftw!)
Dealer wasn't Steve. And as I said, I do expect this to be satisfactorily resolved next week. 2ds - yeah probably is a issue for them to verify my claim. I sent photos, but how do they determine that I didn't already have the 1/4oz coins that I photographed and am now claiming they sent me. Not like I videod the opening of the parcel, or left it in their packaging - I couldn't confirm my suspicions something was wrong without .. Hmm. Just figured at least one piece of evidence - their wrap wouldn't fit 1/2oz coins...
... Looks Left .... Looks Right .... Puts on the 'innocent' look! Those quarters can look very halfish!
Took me a little while to figure out the ins and outs of this game, notice none of the dealers accept credit cards because the charges can be reversed...

On a tangent, I witnessed an acquaintance who may be retiring in the near future and seeing the returns on his super and the balance. If I dropped mine into the PM related stocks I was watching last year, I'd be matching his. And I've only worked 1/4 of the time he has
