    Hi all

I've got a silver coin that won't quite fit into my coin capsule (I made a slight error). Therefore it will be exposed to some air for some time. How quickly will it tarnish and will this affect the proof quality and price?

Impossible to say how long given so many different variables affect the rate of tarnishing. As it's a proof coin, I'd say yes it will affect the price as people pay the premium to have perfect proof coins.

If you're that worried about one coin being affected, sell it and buy another one that hasn't been exposed, you'll sleep better at night :)
