Thank you for all the suggestions and comments about the impact of superstream on SMSFs I have proposed a workaround for the problem here http://eyehealth.bees.net.au/2012/09/superstream-and-self-managed.html that would address all of my concerns. It does however require a change to the (draft) standard and an investment of money and time by the ATO any suggestions on how we can lobby for this or another acceptable solution ?
I just set up my SMSF! This is so screwed up. So obvious the Labor federal government hates SMSFs. This all should really be up in lights in the MSM. I left my old retail fund because of the massive amounts of fiat currency of mine they managed to lose over the last 4 years by not offering the only safe asset class in this economic meltdown. I can't imagine having to go back to that crap.
