News.com.au has launched a stock trading competition. I am taking part for a bit of fun. Just signed up and started a silverstackers group, still learning the GUI. It is a 6 week competition with weekly prizes of $1k and a $15k grand prize. Essentially like the ASX trader but on a smaller scale. Trading kicks off September 5th. Open now for registrations Anyway, if you want to partake (its free) go to http://supertrader.news.com.au Register a user name and input the following Group Code (for Silver stackers) 190386 Or if you cant work it out, join up and leave your username here and ill invite you to the group. Cheers
Has it got the same restrictive rules as the ASX game? With diversification and only ASX200 companies?
Sorry, just saw that edit. I created a new group and have made it public (the other was private) the group is http://supertrader.news.com.au/?p=register&league_code=190386
I joined too Tried to see whether id be able to buy/sell sector indices instead of actual shares?! Is there one such feature there, that i may have overlooked?
Yea, but it's not like SS members then on-sell your details to Dun and Bradstreet So, are ya gonna join in now?
It's on my calendar. I bet some sneaky people will buy up some shares on the real market to prop up their fake holdings. Besides, a few hundreds gone in real life can equal thousands earned in the sandbox, which can later equal thousands in real life @_@ Depends how much people are willing to gamble. :/
