I'm just wondering reading through past posts, is there a way of automatically inserting the spot price of Ag and Au at the time of posting? I'm thinking of the share sites I visit - such as hotcopper.com.au When you post a comment or reply to a thread or create a new one, it will automatically on the left hand column - time of post - post number - number of views BUT ALSO the current stock price. on the left side of our SS posts we have From: Brisbane Registered: 2011 Last Visit: Today Posts: 2,210 Trades : 15 Email PM Website is there a macro or way to insert automatically the current stock price. Reason for this would be interesting to know what the price was (and thus sentiment etc). Would the more experienced ppl on this site think this a useful suggestion?
I certainly found it valuable when reading back over threads in April when the spike to $50 in POS happened - especially the "speak-like-a-pirate-thread" - that was an education reading how the thinking was going ... I recommend reading posts around end of April to see what I mean. Here's a quick link to save you time: http://forums.silverstackers.com/to...6am-overnight-spot-watchers-spot-page-16.html Nice idea Bigone.
Great to hear it could be a good idea, Captain and GP are you the ones that would look into that idea? Yes Spot Gold and Silver at time of post. It puts all the posts into context when you read back in time. Nice to meet you Nedsnotdead. I'm in Brisbane, hope to meet ppl (and F2F trades too!) in SE Qld in due course. Looking to turn money (or fiat) into silver & gold
This is a screencapture of what I was thinking - note the left hand column information including share price (if click on this number/link in blue - will load up the stock price of the company or commodity). Also note there is a spot to put the posters "sentiment" (buy Long term (LT), short term, sell LT/ST, hold). For stocks there is also "position" and "no position", I would assume almost everyone here has silver Additional enhancement is the thumbs up or down comment, similar to the "say thanks"
I wonder if the Site managers have gotten any further with my suggestions? keep up the good work guys! Hope to meet you at a meet sometime! (Brisbane)
