Not much info on this one. Any info appreciated.
Comes up as 999 on XRF, but I'm not sure.

    Thank you gents.
Well I can't get a more up-to-date appraisal than that. Obviously it's only worth what someone might pay, but was it good buying at that price? Gold was around the $2200 mark at the time from memory.

I wonder why it doesn't have the Perth Mint logo. Any idea of mintage?

OK, thanks for that I thought it sold in March 2021. Definitely quite good then.

Ah right. I suppose it really comes down to interest on the day. Do you know much about them?

I could be wrong as my memory is a bit shaky!
I think they were Bullion dealers in Sydney who went bust in the 1980s.
I think people who entrusted their gold with Bargold lost all or some of it.
They were in business pre-internet so I can't find anything about them online.

Thanks Steve, that would also explain the lack of PM swan logo. Pretty bloody cheeky with the name, unless they had permission

I think as a collectors piece, it was a good buy for that price, as not many around. I was bidding in that Nobles auction and tried to research it. I think Bar Gold were Bullion dealers in Sydney who went ceased trading in the 80s, not much info around. I was thinking if it was a one off, prototype design, etc as it didn't show the PM logo, so I doubt they had permission. Was from the D.G.L.Worland Collection, now in Shlomo vault I take it :D
