Hi , I have a tube of 20 silver coins, is it better to store in the tube or put them in clear airtight capsules.

    Thanks

They're fine in the tubes :)

If the lid is on tight and seals well that is. Remember a tube only has 1 possible place where air can get in, while putting every coin in an airtite means you have 20 seals to worry about ;)

The capsules dont protect the coins from any "air" damage. The capsules only protect the coins in case you drop them or rub them again another coin etc.

Personally I find that tubes are fine... but I have had some people complain of scratched ASEs and scratched capsules. So I tend to store my stuff in resealable bags now:

yes capsules and resealed bags are a good way to go but I wouldnt bother for ase's or maples i would just leave them in the tubes, plus when selling these back to dealers I have never even had them ask what condition the coins were in.
