Credit to silverflash for posting the links to these in another thread. I didn't expect to see them so soon. I'm a little disappointed that the second set comes in the same transporter as the first set. I was going to try to collect all five sets but now I may just go after all 10 coins. I'm not for sure...

These would be worth the premium only because they are hand signed. Shattner is not going to live forever. I wonder how many total coin/labels where actually signed.

It is difficult to say, but if one can go by the NGC coin census, then:

    2015P TUVALU S$1 CAPTAIN JAMES T. KIRK COLORIZED-EARLY RELEASES COIN - PF 69: 29 - PF 70: 89 = Total: 118

    2015P TUVALU S$1 USS ENTERPRISE NCC-1701 COLORIZED-EARLY RELEASES COIN - PF 69: 14 - PF 70: 79 = Total: 93

Thus, I would estimate that a grand total of 211 of these coins were hand signed by Shatner of which only 3 seem to be left for sale at MCM at this stage.

I thought the pics were still under embargo? I did see the Picard coin and all the details put up on a site accidentally, but it was quickly pulled.

I received the Enterprise coin in a plastic display case the other day.

Kicking myself that I didnt get the set in the transporter now. I am guessing it will be more collectible down the track than the individual coins in the plastic display cases like the one I have.

What are the thoughts on storing these coin contraptions......Should we be taking out the batteries incase they leak?

    Do they come with batteries?

If they have batteries in them then definitely remove them for storage.
