I have some art deco uranium glass which has a nice heft and an eery green glow. I've never tested it with a geiger counter but am assured these do emit a small amt of radiation.

Its a razor blade hone in case anyone was wondering. I've been preparing for shtf for a long time :)

Emission from Uranium isn't that high, and is alpha particles from memory. 4.5 billion year half life - it's not going to be doing much today. Basically it safe as long as you don't make your underwear out of it.

Are you sure? You can be the Radioactive man and I'm sure your kids will love it, their friends at school will be jealous. :D

Nice pieces. I love some of the Uranium glass bowls and ornaments. We have a few at home.

It costs $40 + P&H, its not that expensive, but buying it would be very dangerous, not because of
possibilities of irradiating oneself, but gov authorities would question that.

Alpha particles are stopped in 2-3 cm of air so no immidiate danger unless you put it close to your
    body as Forge mentioned.
